Katharina Pade

Katharina Pade is a highly experienced wig maker and hair artist with over 30 years in the industry. After completing her training as a makeup artist at the Münchner Kammerspiele, she worked as a resident artist before founding MANUFAKTUR in 1995—a workshop specializing in the creation of wigs, hairpieces, and theatrical hair applications. Through MANUFAKTUR, Katharina has collaborated with leading theaters, film productions, and institutions, developing innovative techniques in wig construction, bonding methods, and historical hairstyling. Her expertise extends to custom-made hairpieces, professional hair integration, and pioneering silicone bonding techniques for natural-looking results. As an educator, she has been teaching since 1998, sharing her knowledge at prestigious institutions like the Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding, Ernst Busch Hochschule Berlin, and Fischbach & Miller and Kerling. Her hands-on approach ensures that students gain a deep understanding of both traditional and modern techniques in hair and wig work.

The editorial field offers countless opportunities to develop creative ideas and bring them to life visually – from subtle concepts to bold, experimental looks. This 2-day workshop focuses on developing strong creative thinking and the ability to translate ideas into visual concepts, whether for editorial, commercial, film, or theater work.

Inspiration for creative concepts is drawn from the environment, architecture, nature, as well as structures and forms. The workshop also covers practical color theory to design looks with intention and harmony. Participants will be encouraged to think boldly, work “out of the box,” and develop their own creative signature.

In addition, the workshop emphasizes efficient working methods and professional kit organization, including how to reduce your kit to essential products while still creating complex and high-impact results. By the end of the two days, you will feel more confident experimenting, making bold creative decisions, and refining your individual artistic approach.

TANJA GRAVINA

Tanja Gravina is a multidisciplinary makeup, hair, and nail artist working across editorial, fashion, film, and TV. She specializes in creative editorial as well as fashion and beauty looks, combining technical precision with a strong visual signature.

With over 12 years of Fashion Week experience in cities like Berlin, Paris, and Prague, she brings a deep understanding of international standards and fast-paced production environments. Alongside her editorial work, she has been Head of Department for the TV series “Schwarze Früchte”, bridging creative direction with on-set leadership.

Her work is featured in publications such as Vogue, Elle France, L’Officiel, Tush, and Achtung Mode, and she has collaborated with clients including Nike, Netflix, Highsnobiety, Asics, Converse , Aldi, Douglas, Volkswagen ua.

Since 2023, she has expanded her practice as a nail artist, adding another layer to her creative approach. Tanja works across all hair textures, wigs, and conceptual styling, bringing versatility and a strong editorial perspective to every project.

Michelle Garande is a renowned Hair Educator and Hairstylist specializing in Afro and Multi-textured hair. Since starting her hairdressing career in 2012, Michelle has left a lasting impact on the Afro hairdressing industry. Since 2018, she has been providing Afro hairstyling education to leading universities, colleges, and academies across the UK, catering to students entering the realms of Film, TV, Theatre, Fashion, and salon industries.

Michelle collaborates with top West End shows, offering training and consultancy services to wig teams and hair and makeup departments for TV and film productions. Her mission is to ensure that her students gain the requisite knowledge, skills, and experience to excel as experts and specialists in styling, dressing, and caring for Afro and multi-textured hair. Michelle is also the visionary founder of the GARANDE Academy located in North London.
