I have participated in two workshops so far (beard and SFX) and have felt very comfortable each time. The relaxed, cheerful, and focused atmosphere without any rush makes a huge difference – both for the participants and for us models. You sit comfortably in front of the mirror while the makeup artists work with concentration: attaching and shaping beard pieces, applying blood and scars – and in between, the instructor stops by to give tips or make small adjustments.
What I found especially positive is that as a model, you are not just “sitting there,” but are seen as part of the team. Catering is also excellent – coffee, tea, snacks, fruit, and sweets contribute to a pleasant atmosphere.
Overall, the workshops are a lot of fun – I am always happy to join again!

The Baldiez Beard course with Roberto was awesome! He explained everything in a really clear and fun way – it was a great experience learning from him. The SFX workshop with Stuart Bray was a lot of fun and very informative. We received a great deal of knowledge and were then able to immediately put what we learned into practice on models. It was definitely worth it, and the organization of the course by Irina was fantastic!!

Der Kurs war äußerst lehrreich und bot eine Fülle an wertvollen Informationen, die ich gut mitnehmen konnte. Katharina vermittelt ihr Wissen mit viel Liebe und Hingabe und zeigt alles, was sie weiß – das fand ich besonders beeindruckend. Ich kann den Kurs sehr empfehlen. Natürlich lassen sich einzelne Bereiche wie Montur nähen, richtiges Knüpfen, Tüll stärken oder einfärben in einem eigenen Aufbaukurs noch vertiefen. Danke nochmal das du so viele Kurse organisierst und für uns Maskenbildner so aktiv bist.
I found the course really very informative. Of course, it was a lot of information at once, but I was able to take away so much. I think Katharina teaches with a lot of love and dedication and is willing to share everything she knows, which I found wonderful. I can definitely recommend the course. Of course, certain areas could be explored in more depth and turned into their own workshops — such as sewing foundations, proper knotting, stiffening and dyeing tulle, and then building on that.
Thank you again for organizing so many courses and for being so active on behalf of us makeup artists.

Ich habe den FUNDAMENTAL AFRO-MULTI-TEXTURED HAIR Workshop bei Michelle Garande gemacht, was mir besonders gut an dem Workshop gefällt ist, dass es mit den wichtigsten Grundlagen in der Theorie beginnt und man diese auch gleich umsetzt.
Sowohl an Bildern, Übungsköpfen als auch an Modellen.
Man lernt den HAIR CLASSIFICATION GUIDE anzuwenden und für jeden Hair Type und jede Frisiertechnik, die man lernt, die richtigen Produkte auszuwählen.
Es gibt viele Produkte von unterschiedlichen Marken, die man alle ausprobieren kann, und Michelle verrät auch ihre derzeitigen Favoriten und Must-haves an Tools.
Nach den 3 Tagen Workshop, fühle ich mich deutlich sicherer im Umgang mit Multi-Textures Hair und freue mich auf die Umsetzung bei kommenden Projekten.
Vielen Dank an Michelle und Irina, dass dieses Wissen endlich auch in Berlin vermittelt wird.
I took the FUNDAMENTAL AFRO-MULTI-TEXTURED HAIR Workshop with Michelle Garande. What I especially liked about the workshop was that it started with the most important basics in theory, which we could immediately apply. Both on pictures, practice heads, and models. You learn to use the HAIR CLASSIFICATION GUIDE and select the right products for every hair type and styling technique you learn. There are many products from different brands that you can try out, and Michelle also shares her current favorites and must-have tools. After the 3-day workshop, I feel much more confident in handling multi-textured hair and look forward to applying it to future projects. Thank you, Michelle and Irina, for finally bringing this knowledge to Berlin.

Wer kennt sich als Maskenbildner mit Afrohaaren aus? Meine Erfahrung diesbezüglich war sehr begrenzt. Das habe ich nun ändern können! Die drei Tage Workshop zum Thema Afrohaar / Multi Textured Hair in Berlin mit Michelle Garande hat mein Wissen und Fähigkeiten diesbezüglich stark erweitert! Es war toll organisiert von THE MAKEUP COUNCIL – Irina Tübbecke und gut strukturiert. Besonders wichtig ist mir die Praxiserfahrung – dieses Seminar ist eine gute Mischung aus Theorie und viel Praxis.
Ganz besonders hat mich gefreut, die kompetente Michelle Garande kennenzulernen.
Es waren drei wunderbare Workshop-Tage in Berlin.

Who knows how to work with Afro hair as a makeup artist? My experience in this regard was very limited. Now I’ve been able to change that! The three-day workshop on Afro hair / Multi-Textured Hair in Berlin with Michelle Garande greatly expanded my knowledge and skills in this area! It was well-organized by THE MAKEUP COUNCIL – Irina Tübbecke and well-structured. Practical experience is especially important to me – this seminar is a good mix of theory and lots of practice. I was particularly pleased to meet the competent Michelle Garande. It was three wonderful workshop days in Berlin. The course exceeded my expectations.
